Deadwood Arborists are thrilled to confirm we now offer tree surveys as one of our arboricultural services throughout the areas we cover within the North West.
Whether you are concerned about the heath of your tree, possible roots encroaching on your home, applying to remove a tree for the sake of development or any other number of reasons - Thomas is the surveyor for you.
All preliminary consultations are free of charge as we produce a fair, competitive, quote. There are no hidden costs and all fees are discussed with total transparency as together we define the scope of the survey required. From there, a well-planned process is managed to collect all relevant data, assess the trees and prepare the documented report.

There is no set clientele for tree surveyors. Whether you are a developer, project manager, landscape designer or just the average homeowner - anyone who has trees to consider may potentially require our services.
There a number of reasons people may elect (or be required) to source a tree survey, including:
SAFETY - If you are concerned about the condition of trees on your property then you may opt to have them inspected and any risks identified along with recommendations for maintenance going forward.
PRE-HOUSE PURCHASE - If you are buying a home but want a detailed assessment of the trees you're also investing in; especially the potential for any subsidence.
DEVELOPMENT - If you are intending to erect, renovate or extend a property within close proximity to trees then you will likely need to have those trees surveyed in order to establish what the next stage is.
PLANNING APPLICATIONS - If you are looking to apply for permission to have work carried out on one of more trees subject to Conservation or TPO, having a documented review presented from a professional may serve as supportive evidence.
A preliminary consultation will establish exactly what the tree survey will entail for the benefit of the customer. We will identify the best ways to achieve your objectives and finalise these details with written instruction.
Once the scope of the survey is defined and agreed we will move on to preparing the operational stages by arranging an extended site visit and collection of data. The risks assosciated to the tree(s) in questions will be analysed and their condition thoroughly assessed. All elements of our findings will be collated in the final arboricultural report (complete with content mapping the positioning of the relevant trees) and presented back to the client so they may purpose it to facilitate their plans.
The cost of a tree survey is affected by a number of factors. The number/condition of trees being surveyed, amount of information contributed by the client, amount of information to be collected by the surveyor and the overall time to be allocated per case will all influence the cost beyond standard rates.
All prices are subject to VAT.
We are qualified and insured with over a decade of experience in the arboricultural industry. All our quotes are competitive and fair based off the individual needs of all prospective clients, with all our final reports completed to the highest standard.
All data from the survey will be collated in a thorough report identifying all the details of our findings.
This will be presented as a first draft for you to have a look through and confirm you are satisfied with, before the final copy is provided for the appropriate use.
Following your survey, if we had advised that the inspected tree(s) should be worked on or removed then it is always encouraged to have this carried out by Arb Approved Contractors.
Our own tree care team are Arb Approved and can by contacted here.
This will be researched and confirmed throughout the desktop portion of the survey and acknowledged within the report. You can also look into this yourself from here.
If you choose to proceed with our Arborist team for any works required, then we will complete the application on your behalf to receive permission for any work to be completed.
